Last 4 races cancelled??????

Please tell me that the email I received this morning saying that the remaining 4 races are cancelled was a joke!

Comment by Mike Dodson on July 15, 2009 at 6:22am: You guys are looking at the orsca rules. The remaining 4 events are going to be run exactly like every other 1320 event. Even if they were doing orsca rules, camo could easily run 7.0 index. That probably translates to high 10's in the 1/4 mile.

Just because the event was cancelled don't mean we can't go to that Track! We are all 1320X racers and we should stay that way... Just my two cents........ PLM Motorsports.

A message to all members of 1320X - Grassroots Drag Racing

Dear 1320X members:

As we approach 4000 members, we want to reach out to all of our loyal supporters and thank you for bringing us to this point.

It’s been a very challenging year for all of us, and we have had to make some changes in the event plans for this year, but are very excited about the potential of our community as we go forward.

The current economic environment has proven very challenging for our event series. Our primary sponsor has dropped out, and as a result , we are going to have to cancel the remaining 4 events that were scheduled for this year. We will revisit the live event series when the economy is more favorable. The event series in not, however, the reason why this community exists. Our objective is to grow into the “go-to” place for grass roots racing, and growing the website and the community remains our primary objective. In the coming months, we are going to be reaching out to many of you that are active in the community to assist us in expanding our community, and acting as regional “captains” for the membership. We want every track to use this site to promote their local events, large and small. We want to generate more content from the members and from local events for the website. We want all like minded grass roots members to visit the site frequently to get information , share expertise, and just “hang out” together.

As many of you know, the guys behind 1320X are the producers of PINKS. We are still traveling the country producing PINKS All Out events and programs......Thursday night is the new season debut! Tune in to Speed....it’s a great new season of shows.

We are also actively developing other shows, and we have been using the 1320X community as a resource for these projects....racers, shops, etc. So stay tuned for updates as new shows come to life!
