First Race meeting for Tuff and I for 2009!!!!!
Tru Blue Drag Racing Championships- Australia Day Weekend - Sun 25th Jan 2009.
Tuff and I had some fun this week end, and it went a little like this.................................
I raced with two other female racers, Jacqui and Leanne Braggs ( yes there are two Leanne B's in this world! hahahaha).
There were approx 85 cars in our class ranging from 7 secs to 12 sec cars.
i ran three qualifiers, but sadly not cool enough to try for a 10.20, but my two rounds went a little like this..
Ist eliminator - leanne lines up against Sin 454 - Ford cortina with a big block, Sinisha is racing, well known and been around for awhile, very competitive.
Rolled into stage, Leanne dialed in 10.48- Sinisha a 9.48 - Leanne's lights go down, reacts with a .465 to sinisha's RED LIGHT, got out the hole clean, made it across the traps Leanne a 10.487 on a 10.48 and Sinisha a red light with a 9.44 break out on a 9.48 dial in- LEANNE VERY HAPPY at end of the track!!!!!
2nd eliminator- Racing Dandy engines not sure of the engine but in a Ford xw or Xy falcon- his dial in was a 9.45 to Leanne's 10.47- Rolled into stage, Leanne's Lights go down, left the tree with a .425 reaction to his .458 reaction, got to about 1000 ft and broke traction, started spinning the rears and he just pipped me across the traps- I ran a 10.63, way off what I thought, but I lost time and I lost to him.
Does'nt matter - I had a great day, I ran good reactions which was my focus and did good burnouts and Tuff ran like a dream all day, I lost fair and square but happy not to go out first round, I was determined not to go out first round.
I ran a 1.45 60 foot in Qualifying and pleased to say the other Leanne went 5 rounds before she lost by 73 thousands of a second to another good racer, she ran .4 reactions all day too- way to go huh!
I will definitely be racing at the next meeting, there was a big crowd too which was nice and all 3 of us girls had nice comments from other males and male racers too which was nice to hear!
Can't wait for the next race meeting in March I think, also running a 1320 x meeting here at Heathcote raceway on March 14th .

Hiya Kev, best 60 foot that I can get from tuff is a 1,44, reason being is the Torque is more aggressive out the hole with this engine, even though I screw the tires to the rims and launch off the transbrake on the sweet spot, i can still get mega wheel spin??? I am only running on 8.5 inch wide tires too, if we tubb out tuff 73 further we could get a 10 inch under and that might help. I run 9 and 3/4 pounds in the rears or 10 pounds depending on the air, heat/ track conditions too.

- sound like you & the car were doing go but let's get that 60ft down to a 1.38 to a 1.41 O you got it in the car you got a Trans Brake in the car just playing with tire's. Some like to play with timing but i get timing just right some time it's in the slick's i went 10bls slown down but put in 12bls i go faster i'm going build a new ram air system for my vega this year if you see in the photo i send you i need it more air the tire's p.s. much love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
