Arrived at the Valley at 3:00 pm and we got MAJOR RAIN . . . the pit area by the tower was almost knee deep with water and staging lanes 1-5 and 8,9 were covered with water. I think I saw a blue Chevell ("CC") and black hauler (Smitty) floating down stream . . . J/K . . . But it was pretty wet where you parked, but don't worry its OK now. We waited till 4:30 pm and gave up and headed to the hotel to check in and then went to eat.
Went back to the track as it was clearing up Albany way, but when…

Anyone else being pestered by the continuous google leads malware with every click on the 1320X website? My McAfee anti-virus catches it every time and I reply “No”. It tries to open in your trusted area of your browser. The url is //googleads.g.doubleclick.net . . . its becoming so annoying that I'm ready to trash the 1320X website.

Crane Cams shuts down, workers laid off
By JIM WITTERS
Senior Business Writer
DAYTONA BEACH — Crane Cams, a 56-year-old auto parts manufacturer, closed its doors this week and laid off its employees, a worker said today.
The news took Volusia County’s top economic development officer by surprise. City, county and state officials were working with Crane Cams and officials from its New Jersey parent, Mikronite Technologies, to keep the company open and in the community.

Saturday, October 25th is the rescheduled MOPAR Day event. Weather doesn’t look good so we opt out of going. Well, the expert weather forecasters are wrong again and they did run the event, but only the 1/8-mile due to high winds. So last night I mention to the wife, let’s go to Island Dragway down in N.J. for their MOPAR day as it’s the same distance as to the Valley and I’m leery about what the Valley management will pull on their last track day. They are known to be really chincy at times whe…

The pre-flight inspection is complete and we are ready to head out for 1320X at MIR early tomorrow morning. Two adjustments on the front S3 coilovers and a new Forge dual ported wastegate to help clamp the boost at 30 psig are in place. First stop will be at DCR (Darrell Cox Racing) in Ridgeway Virginia for a day of dyno tuning (first time with new engine) and a quick check of the clutch. Hopefully everything will go to plan and we’ll get a little R&R in before we head out to MIR either Thur…

A fabulous 2 day event at Lebanon Valley New York that brought together the fastest American Muscle on the East Coast. Meeting new friends, having fun and the commorodity shared by all is a tribute to what 1320X Grass Roots Racing is all about.
While I didn’t win the Non-Electronics class ($2,000), we did ourselves proud making it through the 5th round of eliminations into the quarterfinals running up against some very strong 10-second cars. The old school guy’s (I should talk) were amazed at h…

Pre-registered last night and hung around the track till 8:00 pm. Looks like 100-150 cars have already pre-registered and are in the pits as of last evening and a lot more are on the way. Weather is going to be great and temps are ideal for a big power day for turbo cars. Off to the track we go. Go luck everyone.

Car has been checked over from top to bottom for this coming weekend. Alcohol/ methanol system was upgraded with a D07 nozzle in the up pipe for this event, along with a new tune and tweaking the boost up to 25psig. All it needs now is a bath to make it look really pretty and we’ll be on our way Friday heading up to the Comfort Inn at East Greenbush New York. Looks like its shaping up to be a fun event.
