I have a sbc 434 with 18 degree heads,running a 1050 dom with a powerglide and moser 9 inch with 410 gear. Runs 6.30 in the 1/8 and high 9,s in the 1/4. and this is n.a. going to spray it after the first of the year.
Jim what combination are you running, engin, tran., rear end ?
hey Jimmy, those are 1/4 mile times. at Calif. speedway, high desrt, 2,000" my best is a 10.78@123mph, the mph is a bit low but i think i can only change that wiith a cam. gonna start racing at Bakersfield, (sea level) and hopefully pick up two te...
is this 1/4 or 1/8 mile times?
hey John, sounds like you started something and changed your mind.? save your money and build the race car that you want. put in drivetrain and wire it up ! you can probably make it even lighter. jim
you have to be a redneck if you tear everything out of your car and throw everything away,then try andfind it in the junkyard.aint happen.now i,m looking again to put her back together.i have a 81 camero, any help

Hot Rod Todd said… - When I started driving my car in 1979 it had a 390, auto with 3.25 open 9" (ran 13.40's in the quarter). It now is mildly modified with standard bore 390 (solid cam, 6 pak) Art Carr c6 with stock converter (?) & detroit locker (4.10) 9" (runs 12.90's now). We restored it 16 years ago now which doesnt seem possible? It was a graduation gift from DAD. I keep threatening to put a loose converter in it but the wife threatens life. So I keep collecting parts for the 64 in hopes it will run some day?
