It is mama's latest win and now put me in the lead for our Super Street bracket in the Australian Championship.

This event is to pay tribute to women who have suffered from breast cancer and to bring awareness to the public. It will be run in conjunction with Willowbank Raceway's Street Series drag racing on 7th Nov 2009.

Hi all! Just a bit about myself.
I'm 52 years old,53 in a couple of months, a wife, mother and grandmother and my passion is Drag Racing.
Started in 1993 and have been to at least one final for every year of racing, sometimes more. 81 trophies adorn our living room and I am very proud to have achieved this outcome.
Never say die! I am trying for more.
Love to race, love to compete in open competition against males and females of all ages.
Absolutely love having the family and granddaughter at the track. Grandson is a bit young to be there as he is only 6months old.

Willowbank Raceway - Test'n'Tune event
Hi all just thought I'd pop in and give you an update on our racing activities.
We headed off to Willowbank Raceway last Sat 31st Oct for their Test'n'Tune event. Only a small amount of people their.... this possibly due to the dark clouds looming overhead or the fact that it was Halloween.
Mama was once again very pleased with the ET and reaction times.
Runs go like this:

Bracket Event for drag racing
Saturday 10th Oct saw Willowbank Raceway hold their Bracket Event. Points accumulated goes towards the Track Championship with 5 points awarded for each round win.
Mama managed a Semi-Final appearance and I believe this now places me tied on 2nd place with one young gun in the Track Championship.
I am also currently leading the Australian Championship in our Super Street Bracket.

Eat My Dust Track Day
The afternoon's activity was to be drag racing at the Test and Tune event at Willowbank Raceway Sat 26th Sept, but was cancelled due to a dust storm approaching the area. Red dust lay all over the track (as I was told) and the track was deemed unsafe for racers.
BUMMER!
Best be safe than sorry!
On a lighter note, there is always next time.

Test Day at the Track!
Well we loaded the race car onto the truck once more and headed out to Willowbank Raceway last night for their Test'n'Tune event that commenced around 6pm and mama had 6 passes on the night.
I was really rapted with my first two reactions as both were .038 next was .099 then .101
Last pass of the night Warren wanted me to try something different. He had hooked a solenoid up to the accelerater and wanted me to stall the car up, hold my pinky on the button then release when the lights were trigger… Continue

ANDRA PRO SERIES Round 1
The season opener was the ANDRA PRO SERIES Round 1 at Willowbank Raceway, Qld on 8th & 9th August 2009.
Seeing Mama and the team at the track on the Friday night testing out their new Compulink timing system and Christmas Tree.
I had 5 passes this night with the Rover running between 11.56 and 11.595
Reactions were: .049 .092 .061 .041 and .033
Very happy with the race vehicles performance!
Saturday saw us with 3 qualifying passes:
8.44am and ran 11.650 with a .046 reaction.
11.15am 11.598… Continue

- Been busy busy busy! My 3 friends who are battling breast cancer have been going on with their lives in pawsitive (positive) ways. I'll fill you on on all this soon but gotta run, such is the life of busy me. Always good to hear from you & hope all is swell with you!

- Thanks fur the info on the Serenity cd. I'll tell my friend Sheri. She wasn't feeling too well when I talked to her last week. Also the last time I tried I couldn't find you on FB even searching with your email address so that feature seems to be a bust (Sheri would laugh if I said "Oops, I didn't mean to make a breast reference when I said 'bust' but she gets my humor. Hope it's your kind of humor too but if not, my bad).

I'd missed your email to me till now so that's the reason in my delay in getting back to you.
Two of my friends are done w/ their treatments (must confess it was confusing keeping straight who had breast removed & who opted for radiation & or chemo because they changed their minds as they went along) & the third is still in treatment. But all are doing as well as can be expected and are healing. Thanks for thinking about them!
Finishing in 5th place in the National Championships is grr8!

- Congrratulations on winning your bracket, that's pawsome (awesome)! I don't know what the Gold Christmas Tree is but that's grr8 you won another one. Be sure to let us all know before your meet in June. We'll put our Collective Borg Conscience (I've watched entirely too much Star Trek in my day) to work in hopes you'll finish first in the Australian Championship of your Super Street bracket.

- Grreetings Terri, Thanks for sharing some ideas for my friend who is battling breast cancer. Sheri said she's listened to relaxation cd's in the past. I'd like to find the "Echoes of the Humpback" cd for her. She likes the Ellen tv show so I nominated her to be the recipient of Ellen's stimulus package contest (means winning money!). Sheri was happy about this & we're hoping we'll hear from the Ellen people in tv land. It's a long shot but it's something to for her to look forward to.
Let us all know here how your racing career is going. I hope it's in 4th gear!
