cant break the rubber on a solid mount cause there is no rubber to break, solid is the way to go, less chance of goin on the trailer early cause a piece of rubber broke

I agree with the solid mounts on the motor but not on the tranny! Especially if you have any chassis flex. A solid trans mount adds stress to your bell and tailshaft usually causing them to break.

i was at the track sunday parked beside a guy that said he broke two weeks in a row one of those was because of a rubber mount

Engine Mounts

Do all you guys/girls that have drag cars are you using solid engine mounts. I have been thinking about going solid just haven't pulled the trigger. Now that season is over here and I will taking engine out of car it would be a good time to address this issue. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

2-3 Flare up

Hey all,
What is the best way to get rid of 2-3 flare up in my Ford C4 tranny, it has Fairbanks manual valve body with transbrake and clutch pack. It is getting worse every round to the tune of shifting at 6500 and flaring to 7800 before kicking into 3rd. Any suggestions would be great.

Anyone have a idea of what a pair of 289 HP Z casting heads that are just freshened up and ported and polished by Valley Head Service would be? Thanks in advance.
