hey Bill, hope your doin well. that 331 ran TFS high port heads, vic jr., 750 holley, 5200 stall, 4.88's, with a 28" tire. it would spin to 8,000+ and and approach that in 3rd gear. RPM killed my 331!!! saved the heads, crank, rods and found a DART block on e-bay and have now built the same engine (3.25 stroke) but a 4.125 bore and is now a 347 c.i. runs about the same but am making some changes and chasing a 10.70 e.t. looking for advice on camshafts, in particular the relation of duration to stroke. OR, just let me borrow your engine:-)

That sounds like a stout motor you have now. I also got tired of ventalating stock blocks and went after market because of it after going through 3 351C blocks. I turn my motor about 7000 at the traps but thats all it needs with the cubes unless I get bigger heads. My motor would be a beast in your car but it would be a tight fit with stock shock towers. What does it weigh? I use Jay Allen from Camshaft Innovations for all my camshafts he has years of expierence and can get you a customs cam that will work great for your combo and I know he likes the TFS heads you are running. Also check out www.sbftech.com and post your question or do a search for it.

I have a Dart Block 347, 3.4 Stroke, 4.030 Bore, I guess it is really a 342? Brodix CNCd T1 Heads, Forged Internals, Danny Bee, Solid Roller.
Made 565HP on engine dyno. Motor buzzed to 8500 like it was nothing. What a sound. I can post up the dyno sheet, it had very wide power band. Will be going in a Fox Coupe sometime this season I hope. Trying to get my son (17) behind the wheel of it. I can dig up some more specs on the combo and post how it goes. I started collecting parts for this SBF quite a few years ago. Have split a couple stock 5.0 Blocks down the middle, in my wife's former streetcar!.
Hopefully this should take a lil more abuse........Oh, I AM A NITROUS JUNKIE!!!!
This one also now has a single stage fogger for later use. (probably after 1st NA pass hahaha)

Cams: Call Bob at Bullet Cams 662-893-5670. He has specd out a couple for BBF and this SBF, have always worked good.

Keep the updates coming.
