G-body rearend?

Am I the only one dumb enough to still be runnin' the 7.625"? What setups are y'all using and/or had problems with?

We just finished an 86 el camino ( very heavy car) took to the track last night,, couldnt get it to hook.. it squated hard in the back and hooked then broke loose. back was bouncing through the 60 ft.. ran a 6.90 off the trailer not broken in and spinning.. has tubular upper. but i think its stock arms on lower. air back on pass. side, dont know how much air i should run.. had about 3o or 40 psi in it , and 9psi on the 29 x 9 slicks.. Any advice or help would be great.. this is my first g body?? 8.8 ford rear with 4:56 and spool thanks jason; ▶ Reply to This
