Bill, Thanks a lot for this. Whatever info you can give will be great. Have you heard of Carol Carter? He is out of Manassas, VA and he will do my machine work! What type of heads are you using? I am going to fully port/C&C my intake(Super Victor) and heads(Edelbrock Victor Jr).

We had to do alot of clearancing to get the 4.250 stroke to clear on ours so be ready to do some cutting to the bottom of the cylinders. Other that that cam clearance was good we used a Callies H-beam rod anything aluminum would have been alot worse clearance wise. Sometimes I wonder if I should have just went with a 4.100 stroke and a few less cubes. My heads are a little small for the cubes I am running 232cc runners. I will check around for a block for you a friend of mine had a Dart sportsman 9.5 deck block bored 4.150 a month or so ago that he was selling for $900. I am running a Man O War block in my car. What are you building?
