I just got off the phone with my buddy Harold Blake and he said that he left the line one day and antifreeze was comming out the overflow so he went back to the pits and got a tampon from his wife, shoved it up the line wrapped electrical tape around it and to this day its still there.

I have put a Ford 302 into a Pinto
I put a filthy junk yard Chevy 350 truck engine into a Ferrari 308.
When I worked on Formula Type cars I earned the nick name Wile E. Coyote because I always had a trick up my sleeve.
My next goal for an engine change is an LS7 into a Mercedes 560SL. I have to go incognito on the MB forums when I do that.

The redneck things I did during my Go-kart racing years when I was like 15 are countless.

I used my wife’s bloomers to replace my aging K&N dry filter. Don't laugh, I dropped a tenth in E.T. and gained a new fan club base.

My Mercedes exhaust is hung with SS welding wire. But I cant go racing with that, it will be off this weekend.

Mark, you are one of the top Rednecks of our time! glad it paid off. you improvised and used what you had, no matter how far you had to go to "getter done". Bloomers are designed to keep turbulence down, i think, they work better on some women than others.

Yes the wire is wraped and twisted. But the real RN exhaust was last year when I was trying to get it to run temporarily. See picture.

And if you thought my exhaust was RN check out my temporary radiator install.

A chrome "P" trap for radiator plumbing on a Mercedes is as as RN as it gets. Building this car was fun.
